Ingredients

  • 7 oz. chow mein (egg noodles)

  • 5 oz. chicken breast, boneless, skinless

  • 3 oz. carrot

  • 3 dried Chinese mushrooms

  • 3 oz. Napa cabbage

  • 1 tsp oyster sauce

  • 1/2 tbsp soy sauuce

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 2 green onions/coriander

  • Canola oil for frying

  • Marinade:

  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

  • 1/5 tsp salt

Directions

    Slice meat into strips, mix with marinade and set for 20 minutes for subgum chicken chow mein recipe.

    Soften mushroom with hot water, squeeze out excess water and slice into thin strips with carrot.

    Heat a sauté pan to hot over medium heat with oil, add carrot, cabbage and mushroom, fry until tender.

    Reheat wok to hot over low heat, add oil and combine meat pieces, fry until color changed. Add vegetables.

    Stir in oyster sauce, soy sauce and sugar, well mix. Combine noodles and whisk around with chopsticks.

    Garnish subgum chicken chow mein with green onions or coriander; make a taste test before serving.
