Ingredients

  • 25-30 wonton wrappers

  • 2 egg whites

  • Peanut oil for deep-fry

  • Filling ingredients:

  • 5 oz. cream cheese, softened

  • 10 oz. package imitation crabmeat

  • 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 bunch green onions, finely chopped

    Crack eggs in a bowl; beat completely for this cream cheese Rangoon/wontons recipe.

    Add enough peanut oil into a wok or heavy saucepan, preheat to 375 F degrees.

    Mix filling ingredients in a bowl and stir well. Spoon a spoonful filling in the middle of a wonton wrapper.

    Wet the wrapper wedges with egg white and fold one corner against another into a triangle, press tightly.

    Deep fry in batches for 3-4 minutes or until both side is golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain excess oil.
